Pink Overload!

Today I made a card as an example for my 5-year-old granddaughter to copy. On Friday I am taking her to a pottery place to make something for her other grandmother whose birthday is July 6th. After we get home, we can work on the card she will be making for Jane, my sil's mother.

I am calling this card "Pink Overload" because my granddaughter LOVES PINK!!!  So it is more for her than it is for Jane, really, but I know she will enjoy every pink moment of making it.

The tools used were:

CTMH:  Just to Say Sentiment Collection
Sizzix:  Scalloped Ovals
Tattered Lace:  Butterflies Die
EK Success:  Border Punch (I bought it used, so don't know the name of it)
Hand tied double-looped bow

In order to tone down the pink on the card, I put a green background under the floral stamp.

For You

Today's card uses another new die that was super cheap that I got from Amazon; it was made in China and is an off brand, but cuts beautifully, as all the dies I ordered have. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is punched out with  a 1 1/4" scallop punch. I cut an extra butterfly portion of the die to lay on top of the base butterfly to add dimension, and the entire white die is glittered with loose iridescent white glitter, although the picture does not reflect that. The butterfly also has a holographic pearl pen dot on the body. The card is finished with a purple an white gingham bow.

Joy to the World

I made today's card using a SU set, Star of Light stamps and the accompanying die set, Starlight Thinlets. The sentiment is a Recollections stamp. The white star is glittered, and a clear rhinestone was added to it.The trail behind the star and the sentiment are heat embossed with sparkly iridescent powder, although the picture does not accurately show that.

Sending Lots of Good Wishes

Yesterday I made this card using one of the cheapo dies I got from Amazon; there are a lot of them and are made in China, so there is not really a brand name I can give you. The gate part opens to reveal the sentiment. I sprayed the cutouts with Diamond Dust Glitter Spray to add a little interest, although, it does not really sparkle very much. The flower and base were made with a scallop punch for the base, and a retired SU flower punch. The center of the flower is accented with a dollup of Viva Pearl Pen. The background piece behind the sentiment was stamped with a retired script patterned stamp from SU.

Joy Ride

A few weeks ago I went on Amazon and found a lot of off brand dies from China, which I ordered. Two of these dies were used in today's card:  the bicycle and the clouds. I made layers of the bike by cutting black for the tires, overlaying that with the pink body of the frame, and using a green portion of the die for the basket and one of the balloons. The other balloons were colored with markers, as were the flowers. The fence is from a Cheery Lynn Victorian Picket Fence die. The hilly grass was cut free form with plain scissors. I did not glue the balloons or the flowers to the base of the card,  but bent them outward to give the  appearance of them floating in the breeze.

Snowy Christmas Forest

Today I made a card drawing from lots of different elements in my stash. A new Sizzix Birch Trees die was used for the overlay; in the background, the blue paper was stamped with an image from Stampin' Up Lovely as a Tree; the deer was cut on my Cricut machine using the December 25th cartridge; sentiment was from Spellbinders Peace Sentiment; finishing it all off, I sprayed glue on the entire card and dusted it with Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter (this glitter looks just like snow falling, and I love to use it in winter scenes!).
